If you were looking for information on Biology, you would key "Biology" in the search line text box and hit return. If you wanted to find items about Biology and mitosis, you would key "Biology"+"Mitosis" in the search line text boxand hit return. Quotes are important to use as are the plus + symbols. The plus tells google to look for your first search word, and if you find anything with your second word or phrase, display that as well. What gets displayed as your search results are links to pages that may contain the information you are searching for. The search is ranked from most probable to least probable pages to contain what you are looking for.
